The Most Popular Winter Getaways for the Jet Setting Elite
By Felicity Sargent

Established in 2005, Oxygen 4 is a young and energetic jet charter broker that primarily charters aircraft to and from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and is beginning to expand to Russia, the Middle East, and Asia. With ski season well underway, Oxygen 4 has compiled a list of the top private air travel winter destinations and the aircraft those most affluent are seeking to arrive in. Coming in at No.1 Courchevel in the French Alps is the ultimate ski destination to see and be seen. Luxury winter destinations St Moritz and Sion round out the top three. Kitzbühel and Bolzano in northern Italy rank fourth and fifth. Oxygen 4’s CEO Mark Green acknowledged a small slump in travel reservations, but maintains positive saying, “There is definitely caution out there, however, certain clients are less concerned.” Some of these “less concerned” clients have been willing to spend up to €50,000 to ensure a pleasant stay at the aforementioned Courchevel in peak season. If you are going to jet to a haute destination, you better do it in style. Oxygen 4 reports that the Challenger 604 is the most popular with the Challenger 300 coming in close second as it offers the same size cabin, can fly seven hours from one end of Europe to the other without refueling, and costs substantially less than the 604. We say go ahead a splurge. You only live once.
