Cirrus has big plans for 2009 and that includes a luxury package chocked full of extravagances for the elite pilot who settles for nothing less than the best.

The X-Edition is the premium upgrade package for Cirrus’ SR20, SR22 and TURBO models. Described by the company as “”the embodiment of bespoke tailoring and fine craftsmanship in a high performance personal aircraft,” the X-Edition interior attributes include carbon fiber and machine-finished aluminum on the instrument panel and center console. The cabin is outfitted in Alcantara with tailor-stitched accents and new suede headliner, while the exterior upgrades of the X-Edition include an arresting new paint scheme.

In the January announcement of the 2009 lineup, Todd Simmons, Cirrus Aircraft Vice President of Marketing said, “In contrast to many others that are actually removing features and value in response to economic and other external pressures, our approach is just the opposite…its all part of making the world’s best-selling aircraft even better.”
