Space Wedding
By Allison Medoff

One New York couple’s love knocked them off the ground. Literally.
Noah Fulmore and Erin Finnegan are the world’s first couple to wed in zero gravity, the same weightless feeling experienced by astronauts. Finnegan donned in a white multi-layered gown by Japanese designer Eri Matsui, and the groom wore a tuxedo with tapered tails. The specially designed outfits ensured any accidental nudity on board was kept to a minimum. Keeping the space theme, the couple’s wedding rings were made from fragments of a meteorite that hit Earth over 30,000 years ago. Talk about making history. On June 20th, the bride and groom departed from Kennedy Space Station on a modified Boeing 727 jet. The 90- minute flight made 15 dives from 36,000 to 24,000 feet, creating the zero gravity feeling. Costing much less than the estimated million dollar figure, the couple paid just over £10,000 for a one of a kind marriage that will last a lifetime.
