When will you know who is playing?

Not until the semifinals. The Orange Bowl semifinal is Thursday, January 14, and the Sugar Bowl semifinal is Friday, January 15, so the title matchup is set 10 or 11 days before kickoff in Las Vegas. That is a short booking window, and it falls inside the same week the Henderson and North Las Vegas airports start their special-event rules.

    Two ways to handle it:

    • Going regardless of the matchup. Book now. You get the widest choice of aircraft, and the operator can request ramp space as soon as the airports open their arrival forms.
    • Going only if your team makes it. Send us your dates, group size and home airport before the semifinals. We can line up options in advance, so you can confirm the night your team wins instead of starting from scratch.

Harry Reid International (LAS): closest, open around the clock

Allegiant Stadium sits just west of Harry Reid's runways, about 2 miles from the airfield in a straight line. LAS is the only one of the three that is attended around the clock, and both of its private terminals are open 24 hours: Signature Aviation, which has customs and immigration on site, and Atlantic Aviation at 275 East Tropicana Avenue, one block from the Strip, with complimentary valet. LAS is the easiest choice for a departure right after the game.

The catch is parking. AirNav's remarks for LAS say general aviation parking is very limited and tell pilots to call either FBO for availability. Customs arrivals also need a reservation with U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Henderson Executive (HND): the reliever with the biggest ramp

Clark County calls Henderson the primary reliever airport for Harry Reid. It is 12 miles south of the Strip, close to the I-15 and 215 freeways, with a 24,000-square-foot terminal, 84 acres of ramp and planeside limousine service. The longest runway is 6,501 ft, and the field sits at about 2,490 ft elevation. The FBO is staffed from 5 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and the control tower runs from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

North Las Vegas (VGT): closest to downtown

North Las Vegas is about 3 miles from downtown Las Vegas and Fremont Street. It has three runways of 5,005 ft, 5,000 ft and 4,199 ft. Its FBO also lists 5 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and in winter the tower is open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The shorter runways suit light and midsize jets. For a larger jet, the operator will check performance, and LAS or HND is usually the better fit.

Both county FBOs say they cannot accept third-party food deliveries such as DoorDash or Uber Eats. Order catering through the FBO's catering partners or through us. For more detail on each terminal, see our Las Vegas FBO guide.

Game-week rules: PPR, special event fees and slots

Henderson Executive and North Las Vegas have already posted these entries for the game:

    • Prior permission required (PPR): January 20–26, 2027.
    • Special event fee: January 20–25, 2027.
    • Notice of Arrival form: each airport links its own.

AirNav's remarks for LAS, HND and VGT add how the program works. When a special-event parking PPR program is active by NOTAM, visiting aircraft need a PPR number from an FBO for each landing, and the number goes into the remarks section of the flight plan.

Las Vegas has run this kind of program before. For Super Bowl LVIII in February 2024, the FAA ran a parking and airspace slot reservation system from February 6 to 13 at LAS, HND, VGT and Boulder City. Operators had to book through their FBO, and those without a reservation were told to expect substantial delays and possible denial of service. The FAA also accepted no airborne IFR filings or changes of destination within 200 nm of Las Vegas.

NBAA noted another point from that event. Once overnight parking filled, drop-and-go could be the only option, and a drop-and-go needs two reservations: one for the drop-off and one for the pickup.

We cannot say yet whether the FAA will run the same program for the CFP final. The airports' posted PPR dates are the firm part today, and any FAA procedures would be published by NOTAM closer to the game. Either way, book the aircraft and the ramp space together, and early.

    How to time your flights

Las Vegas is on Pacific time, three hours behind New York. A 4:30 p.m. kickoff means an East Coast group can fly out Monday morning and still make the game, but that leaves no margin for an arrival slot delay. Here is how we would plan it:

    • Arrive by Saturday, January 23, or Sunday, January 24. You get Fan Central, the concerts and Media Day, and you avoid the game-day arrival rush.
    • Same-night departure after the game: plan it from LAS, where the airport and both private terminals run 24 hours. The Henderson and North Las Vegas FBOs list hours to 10:30 p.m. and their towers close at 8 p.m., so a late departure from either needs the operator to confirm it can be handled.
    • Leaving Tuesday, January 26: the PPR window at HND and VGT runs through January 26, so your departure still falls inside it. Book both legs at the same time.
    • Drop-and-go: if ramp space runs out, the aircraft can drop you off and come back for you, often from another airport. That adds legs to the quote, and it needs a slot for each movement.

Make it a Las Vegas week

    FAQs

When and where is the 2027 CFP National Championship?

Monday, January 25, 2027, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Kickoff is 4:30 p.m. Pacific (7:30 p.m. Eastern) on ESPN networks, including ABC.

What is the closest airport to Allegiant Stadium for a private jet?

Harry Reid International (LAS), about 2 miles away in a straight line. It has Signature Aviation and Atlantic Aviation private terminals, both open 24 hours, but general aviation parking there is very limited. Henderson Executive (HND) and North Las Vegas (VGT) are each about 8 to 9 miles away.

Do I need a reservation to land a private jet in Las Vegas for the game?

Plan on it. Henderson Executive and North Las Vegas list prior permission required from January 20 to 26, 2027, and a special event fee from January 20 to 25. When a special-event parking PPR program is active, each landing needs a PPR number from an FBO. Your operator arranges this.

When will the championship matchup be known?

After the semifinals: the Orange Bowl on Thursday, January 14, and the Sugar Bowl on Friday, January 15, 2027. That leaves 10 or 11 days to book, so share your plans with us before then.

Can I fly home the same night as the game?

Yes, and LAS is the simplest place to do it, since the airport and both private terminals run 24 hours. The Henderson and North Las Vegas FBOs list hours to 10:30 p.m., so ask your operator before planning a late departure from either one.

How do I get a quote for a CFP National Championship flight?

Request a quote at https://www.hautejets.com/request-a-quote or call (800) 257-5661. Most quotes arrive within 60 minutes.
